This is a transportation network company founded in 2012, which offers its services in the United States of America and Canada. Lyft app is available on both iOS and Android platforms.

Lyft, Inc. is an American company that develops, markets, and operates a mobile app, offering vehicles for hiremotorized scooters, a bicycle-sharing systemrental cars, and food delivery. It is based in San Francisco, California and operates in 644 cities in the United States and 12 cities in Canada.[2] Lyft does not own any vehicles; instead, it receives a commission from each booking. Fares are quoted to the customer in advance but vary using a dynamic pricing model based on the local supply and demand at the time of the booking.

With a 32% market share, Lyft is the second-largest ridesharing company in the United States after Uber.[3]


2. Flywheel

This is an award-winning taxi call dispatch technology platform that provides taxi rides with professional drivers to passengers all around the globe.

The company was started four years ago in San Francisco, California by software engineers from Oracle Financial Services Software Limited who believe there is more value in creating community impact than simply making a profit for shareholders.

Flywheel has been awarded many awards including Uber’s “Hall of Shame Award” for failing to meet basic data security standards set out by Uber Technologies Inc. after they were caught scraping customer data from the Uber app.


3. Curb

This is a technology company that provides on-demand taxi and black car services over mobile devices.

The company was founded in 2009 by Kadek Ananta Tur and Gagan Biyani, different individuals with backgrounds in software development, product management at Apple Inc., business management consulting for Fortune 500 companies, marketing, finance, law, etc.

They are currently headquartered in San Francisco. Curb has been awarded numerous awards including “Best App” by ‘USA TODAY’, “Editor’s Choice Award” by Wired Magazine, Featured as “New & Noteworthy” application under Transport category on iTunes store, multiple times listed among the top 50 apps of all in iTunes store, etc.

4. Gojek


Gojek was first established in Indonesia in 2010 as a call center to connect consumers to courier delivery and two-wheeled ride-hailing services. Gojek launched its application in 2015 with only four services: GoRide, GoSend, GoShop, and GoFood.

Valued at US$10 billion today, Gojek has transformed into a super app, providing more than 20 services.[3][4]
